A survey on next generation networks and cloud computing 2412190201
The goal of this thesis is the study of cloud computing technology and the various deployment types used in industry and academia. More specifically, the cloud computing models will be examined while several cloud solutions will be analyzed. Also, this particular work aims to focus on virtualization techniques at the network level using cloud computing. Various software defined network technologies (SDN) will be studied as well as the virtual network functions (VNF) used in next generation networks will be analyzed. Finally, several experiments based on network traffic management will be conducted where SDN programmable controllers will be used via GNS3.
